For his replicable project, Jonathan Garcia redesigned the Lawrence HERC website to provide information on the organization's purpose, history, and programs. The new site does an excellent job of presenting briefly what the Lawrence HERC is and why it is necessary. Organizations that want to see how to use the Web to promote student and volunteer recruitment should check it out. The site is located at www.lawrenceherc.org.

Jonathan also created a blog for the HERC, which can be found at www.lawrenceherc.org/blog. When they are regularly updated, blogs are an excellent way to make your organization's supporters feel more personally connected to your work. They are great for building relationships since they are less obtrusive than an email newsletter, but more detailed than an ordinary website.
